Domination in Black Ops 6 Feels More Tactical Than Ever
I've been grinding Domination nonstop in Black Ops 6, and I have to say—it might be the best version of the mode we've had in years. There's something about the way the maps are designed bo6 bot lobbiesthis time around that really rewards strategic thinking, not just raw gunskill.
For starters, the lanes around B flag feel much tighter and more layered than in previous games. There are more flanking routes, more verticality, and more cover options than I remember from Black Ops Cold War or even Modern Warfare II. It’s no longer a simple "rush B and hold." You actually have to think about how to control space and rotate based on spawn flips, which are surprisingly well-handled.
Killstreaks can still dominate the mode, especially if you get air support, but what I love is how balanced it feels if your team knows what it’s doing. You can lock down B with Trophy Systems, claymores, and smoke grenades, and if your squad communicates, even a weaker team can hold their ground.
I’ve also noticed that Domination isn’t just a slayfest anymore. Yeah, kills matter, but I’m getting more XP and more progress from playing the objective than ever before. The game really pushes you to cap flags and play smart. Points feel meaningful again, and that’s been missing for a while.
What are your thoughts on the new pacing of Domination? I think it might have overtaken Hardpoint as the most competitive mode this year.
