1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions govern all quotations, roofing works, repairs, installations, maintenance services and related services provided by HAB Roofing Ltd (“the Company”, “we”, “our”, “us”) to the customer (“you”, “the Client”).

By accepting our quotation, instructing us to commence work, or making payment, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

2. Quotations and Estimates

2.1 All quotations are provided free of charge unless otherwise stated.

2.2 Written quotations remain valid for 30 days from the date issued.

2.3 Any estimate provided prior to inspection is subject to confirmation following site assessment.

2.4 Additional works outside the agreed quotation will be charged separately and agreed with the Client before commencement where possible.

3. Scope of Works

3.1 HAB Roofing Ltd will carry out the roofing works described within the accepted quotation.

3.2 Any variation requested by the Client may affect the final cost and completion time.

3.3 The Company reserves the right to amend methods or materials where necessary to comply with building regulations, manufacturer recommendations or site safety requirements.

4. Access and Site Conditions

4.1 The Client shall provide safe and reasonable access to the property during agreed working hours.

4.2 The Client is responsible for ensuring the work area is free from obstructions, valuables, fragile items and hazards.

4.3 The Company shall not be liable for delays caused by restricted access, third-party contractors, neighbour disputes or unsafe site conditions.

5. Payment Terms

5.1 Payment terms will be outlined on the quotation or invoice.

5.2 For larger projects, staged payments or deposits may be required.

5.3 Final payment is due immediately upon completion unless otherwise agreed in writing.

5.4 Late payments may incur statutory interest and debt recovery costs under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts legislation where applicable.

6. Materials

6.1 All materials supplied remain the property of HAB Roofing Ltd until paid for in full.

6.2 Where specific materials become unavailable, equivalent alternatives may be used subject to suitability.

6.3 Natural variations in colour, texture or finish of roofing products may occur.

7. Weather and Delays

7.1 Roofing works are weather-dependent.

7.2 HAB Roofing Ltd shall not be held responsible for delays caused by rain, snow, wind, frost or other unsafe weather conditions.

7.3 Completion dates are estimates only and are subject to reasonable extension where delays occur.

8. Liability and Limitations

8.1 The Company holds appropriate public liability insurance.

8.2 We shall carry out all works with reasonable skill and care.

8.3 We are not liable for:

Pre-existing structural defects
Hidden timber decay is not visible at the quotation stage
Internal water damage predating repair works
Damage caused by extreme weather events after completion
Third-party interference

8.4 The Company’s liability shall not exceed the total contract value paid by the Client.

9. Waste Removal and Site Cleanliness

9.1 We will remove normal roofing waste generated by our works unless otherwise agreed.

9.2 Whilst all care is taken, some dust and minor debris may remain due to the nature of roofing works.

10. Guarantees and Warranties

10.1 Workmanship guarantees, where offered, will be confirmed in writing.

10.2 Material warranties are subject to manufacturer terms.

10.3 Guarantees do not cover:

Storm damage
Impact damage
Unauthorised alterations
Lack of maintenance
Damage caused by other trades

11. Cancellation

11.1 Cancellation after acceptance may incur charges for labour scheduled, purchased materials or administration.

11.2 Consumers may have cancellation rights under the Consumer Contracts Regulations where applicable.

12. Complaints

Any complaint should be submitted in writing to info@habroofing.com and we will endeavour to investigate and respond promptly.

13. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Any dispute shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
